We are thrilled to be able to reach out to Singapore families ready to embrace the changes that technology, AI and VR will bring over the next couple of years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Singapore has been hugely successful in terms of children\u2019s education. For more than a decade Singapore has remained at the top of international league tables which assess children\u2019s literacy, math, and science scores in each country. As technology progresses and we become more reliant on software, apps and ecommerce, Singapore is stepping up children\u2019s education to create highly talented professionals able to meet a growing demand for digital experts. Aware of how globalisation, changing demographics and technological advancement are key driving forces today, Singapore wants to now prepare their students to seize new and exciting opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In order to do so, Singapore\u2019s Ministry of Education states that they have identified a suite of core values and competencies that are increasingly important.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For the global world, the competencies outlined include;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Civic literacy, global awareness and cross-cultural skills<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Critical and inventive thinking<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Communication, collaboration and information skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By introducing your child to the world of coding, game design and development and challenging them to build robots, you can help reinforce the importance of technology in our society and how technology will undoubtably underpin their future. To build a robot, design an app or resolve a coding problem, you need problem-solving skills, creativity and the ability to think outside the box. Now add in teamwork and developing communication skills by taking part in activities as a family, or within small groups and you have now hit each goal set out by the Ministry of Education in Singapore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At RoboThink our STEM coding, robotics and engineering programs nurture young minds and encourage inventive, creative and collaborative work.
